Medical and health humanities explore the embodied human experience of health and illness through art, literature, history and philosophy. We explore ethical, aesthetic, and practical questions through creative expression and critical analysis.
Our club has four purposes:
- Raise awareness of health humanities as an emerging field
- Explore the embodied human experience of health and illness
- Foster collaboration between disciplines
- Give pre-health students an outlet to explore interest in the humanities, and to give
humanities students an opportunity to focus on health, healing, and illness
